There are 4 types of pranayama: Antar (internal), Baahya(external) Pratyaahaar: Dharna: Intense focus. Super concentration on only one object for long periods of time. Dhyana: State of Meditation. When there is an uninterrupted focus of the mind toward the object of meditation. Is the process in-between the state of oneness. Samadhi: State of oneness. Only the meaning of the object of meditation remains. Total absorption of the mind, when even the self-awareness disappears, and only the meditation object exists.
