CULVER CITY, Calif. - Dec. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- The Mayme A. Clayton Library & Museum in Culver City, California, was filled to the brim with talent as noted actor and late night hopeful Motown Maurice organized the grand finale of his popular Quarterly Wrap Festival (QWF). Motown created this festival to give other actors an opportunity to not only break into the business with this prominent talent competition, but to also thrive in this competitive industry. It's been a successful journey and he wanted to commemorate the occasion on Saturday with this moving swan song.

"The finale was exceptional and I'm proud to say the Quarterly Wrap Festival ended with honor. The audience was energetic, our host was spectacular and the judges were on point. This four year endeavor will go down as one of my greatest accomplishments. Now I patiently prepare for the next chapter of my journey. All good things must come to an end simply to make room for new good things. The future is abundant and so are my ideas," declared Motown.

The Quarterly Wrap Festival (QWF) was founded in Los Angeles in March 2013 by Motown. Four times a year, at the end of each quarter (March, June, September & December), QWF tailored a unique showcase targeting a wide range of actors, filmmakers and industry professionals in the Los Angeles area. During its first two years, this festival maintained a focus on film screenings. In 2015, the festival evolved into a series of monologue slams competitions. In 2016, QWF transformed into a Variety Talent Showcase welcoming a range of singers, dancers, poets, stand-up comedians and more.

Finalists for the grand finale were Glasme, Deborah Ishida, Lorinda Hawkins Smith, and Wanda Ray Willis-Raynor, who was the winner. She gave an outstanding performance as the iconic Dorothy Dandridge. Judges for this esteemed event were talented actors Jeff Meacham and Eric Paul Erickson as well as noted writer-director Jonathan Cocco. Prizes for the festival were a meeting with Motown's representation, a free one hour skype session with actress and coach Jessica Lynn Johnson on how to put together a solo show as well as a free headshot session with photographer Kevin Boot.

For four years the festival maintained its goals and objectives by creating a collaborative atmosphere aimed towards bringing exposure to independent up-and-coming artists. Serving as a conduit, the Quarterly Wrap Festival provided unique experiences designed to showcase, network and celebrate each other's accomplishments while providing an avenue of discovery for emerging creators.
In just four years,The Quarterly Wrap Festival executed 8 film screenings, 8 talent showcases, multiple networking mixers and one agent management seminar all for gratis, which is unheard of this in competitive industry.

Award-winning actress and blogger Vida Ghaffari (The Mindy Project, Jimmy Kimmel Live) hosted the last event. "I was truly honored that I was handpicked by Motown to host this wonderful event. There was such amazing talent on hand that I didn't envy the position of the judges. Motown has such limitless talent and so selfless to have created such a grand event that truly benefits our artistic community-at-large," said Vida.

The program includeed performances from their variety showcase finalists, an exclusive screening of The Late Night Experiment's final documentary (Late-Night Kimchi). Here's the trailer for the doc:
