Grand Hyatt Bali Hosts the Finalists of the Bali Deaf Pageant 2016

NUSA DUA, Indonesia - Dec. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- These were the 28 finalists who arrived in the lobby of Grand Hyatt Bali full of enthusiasm and curious as to what adventures would come their way in the next few days. For the following two nights, Grand Hyatt would be their home away from home. A keen supporter of local causes, Grand Hyatt contributed 15 rooms and two nights for finalists and interpreters of the pageant. The finalists came from various parts of Bali including Singaraja, and they all got together in Denpasar for the selection and crowning ceremony on October 29.

Initiated by the municipal government of Denpasar, the pageant is intended to provide a platform for creativity for the Bali Deaf Community and is held every two years. Just like in other pageants, the finalists had to go through a difficult selection process which included interviews, sign language tests, and talent displays. The grand final at Taman Kota Lumintang Denpasar was a happy event with fashion shows, music performances, and an exciting judging session. The judges finally chose Sudi Arsana dan Shintya Dewi Yuda as the winner of the Putra Putri Tuli Bali. Shintya, an 18 years old girl from Denpasar, burst into tears as Yuliana, Putri Tuli Bali 2014, crowned her.

All finalists returned to the hotel with big smiles on their faces, knowing that each of them had given their best for the day. All participants and their interpreters spent their last day at Grand Hyatt Bali taking a well-deserved break, swimming in the pools, and going for strolls in the tropical garden.
