When a wealthy Atlanta socialite is murdered in gruesome fashion, naturally the suspicion falls on her ex-husband as the killer; however, just as the police are about the put the screws to him, another wealthy housewife – to whom the ex has no connection – is killed in the same way. This, of course, throws the authorities' investigation completely for a loop, forcing local law enforcement to partner with the FBI in pursuit of the real killer. As more details emerge – particularly the discovery of a "garden club" whose members include the kinkiest of the local wealthy elite – the scramble to identify and capture the killer becomes complicated by pressures both political and cultural, threatening to delay, and possibly derail, justice for the beloved victims.

Murder In The Mansion is a masterfully crafted psychological suspense thriller by John P. Bevilaqua. Expertly written, Bevilaqua's riveting tale keeps the reader guessing about the true identity of the real killer until the very end – including whether or not it's a male or female. Such a feat isn't easy to pull off, but with just the right amount of sparse clues, red herring, and skillfully placed distraction, Murder In The Mansion ranks among the most engrossing murder mysteries readers are sure to enjoy.
