UPSL National Player Of The Week: SoCal Troop FC's Rene Santillan

LOS ANGELES - July 11, 2017 - PRLog -- SoCal Troop FC forward Rene Santillan has been named UPSL National Player of the Week. The Anaheim, Calif. native had a season-high four assists in a 5-2 victory over L.A. W17 FC on Sunday, July 9.

Santillan started and played 90 minutes for SoCal Troop FC (11-3-2 overall), which moved in to the fourth and final playoff spot in the UPSL Championship Division Western Conference with the win.

The team MVP as a senior at Anaheim Western High School, Santillan previously played for Fullerton Rangers and at Fullerton College.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL.

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 70 teams in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Utah.
