National Licensing Services Certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 14, 2017 - PRLog -- National Licensing Services (NLS), a business, liquor, gaming and cannabis licensing firm announced it has been certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), as defined by the Clark County Department of Aviation and the Nevada Unified Certification Program (UCP).

The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program is about securing equal opportunity in business. Funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), the program helps businesses classified as small, woman-owned or disadvantaged to compete in a fair environment right alongside larger corporations.

"The Nevada Unified Certified Program will help broaden our opportunities to compete for business and contracts statewide.  It helps level the playing field," said Ms. Serina Choi, Manager of NLS.

As a certified DBE firm, NLS will be included in the UCP statewide directory, which is consulted by prime contractors for federally assisted projects. The UCP certification requires that each business be at least 51% minority-owned and operated.

Additionally, certification helps identify minority businesses for buying agents of major corporations and government agencies, allowing them to better report diversity spend and utilization rates.
