By: District 86 Toastmasters The "Of The Year" award nominees include individuals and clubs that excelled in supporting Toastmasters in Southwest, Central and Northern Ontario. "Today we celebrate Toastmasters champions." Fursov mentioned. "Members, who devoted themselves to the program, to serve others, and in a process to become better versions of themselves." Fursov led a committee that chose the following finalists for the following awards: Club Coach Of The Year The Club Coach of The Year Award goes to a successful Club Coach who lead their club back to Distinguished Club status. Finalists: Anthony Delvecchio Skyway Toastmasters Club) , Kelley McIntyre (Waterloo Silver Tongue Club), Karen Wood (Valley Town Toastmasters Club, Steeltown Toastmasters Club). Publicist Of The Year This award recognizes publicity efforts by Toastmasters throughout the year. It's awarded to a member who does the best job of promoting Toastmasters through a variety of media and throughout the District. Finalist: Lyndsy Johnson (Hershaw Toastmasters) President Of The Year The President of the Year Award is based on Toastmasters club activities and personal achievements, including educational program, club administration, membership, and other club activities. Finalists: Yun Annie Bai (Great Minds Advanced Toastmasters, Brampton Alpha Toastmasters, Confidently Speaking Toastmasters Club) , Daniel Connell (Brampton Club, Mississauga Sales & Marketing Toastmasters) Area Director Of The Year The Area Director of the Year is based on the Area performance and the individuals' contributions to that achievement. The achievements are measured across membership building and retention, club extensions, distinguished club program, education and training, leadership commitment and support, and public relations. Finalists: Sue Faludi (City of Vaughan, Hilltop Toastmasters) Division Director Of The Year The Division Director of the Year is based on the Division performance and the individuals contributions to that achievement. The achievements are measured across membership building and retention, club extensions, distinguished club program, education and training, leadership commitment and support, and public relations. Finalists: Tracey Harding Division B, Jane Harnadek Division C, Saima Malik Division A Club Of The Year / Education Leadership / Membership Leadership There are three levels to this award. The Education Leadership award will be awarded to the club with the highest number of points in the Education Leadership category. The Membership Leadership award will be given to the club with the highest number of points in the Membership Leadership category. The Club of the Year award will be given to the club with the highest total number of points in ALL three categories. Finalists: Confidently Speaking Toastmasters - Mississauga, Hershaw Toastmasters - Brampton, Mississauga Sales & Marketing - Mississauga. Toastmaster Of The Year The Toastmaster of the Year award is given to a member who best exemplifies Toastmasters International values in supporting the District mission.
