Women's United Premier Soccer League Announces FC Boulder as Colorado Conference Expansion Team

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 14, 2017 - PRLog -- Women's United Premier Soccer League (WUPSL) is pleased to announce that FC Boulder has joined the league starting with the inaugural 2017 Fall Season.

Based in Boulder, Colo., FC Boulder will play in the WUPSL's Colorado Conference.

Women's United Premier Soccer League Director Don Harmon said, "FC Boulder prides itself on providing soccer for life for it's soccer community. At the WUPSL we share that vision and are very excited to be providing those opportunities for players through FC Boulder."

FC Boulder is led by Executive Director Adam Hayes and its Board of Directors.

FC Boulder WUPSL Head Coach Caleb Dickinson said, "We have assembled an amazing group of players who are competing at very high level.  It's such a pleasure to watch them train and play with so much enthusiasm for the game. They've worked so hard for 20 years to develop their soccer talent. I'm really happy that they have a venue to put that awesome talent to use.

Last June, we participated in a preseason tour throughout the Los Angeles-area taking on the best WUPSL teams that California had to offer. We couldn't have been more excited to join our fellow players in friendly rounds of games that should serve to build great friendships and rivalries for years to come. Measuring our talent against teams from across the country was a great challenge and opportunity. I enjoyed seeing how we stacked up and what we're capable of achieving."

FC Boulder swept its way through a four-game preseason tour in June, traveling to Southern California and winning all games against a number of Western Conference teams.

"All of this amazing soccer is in preparation for a very exciting Fall season in the new WUPSL," Dickinson said. "We're looking forward to the addition of several teams from around Colorado, from Northern Colorado to Colorado Springs. There are literally hundreds of amazing female soccer players who are reaching the pinnacle of their abilities in their mid-20s and looking for an opportunity to continue to play the game that they love. I'm proud to be a part of that opportunity and look forward to the growth of the league."

The club will play its home games at Fairview High School (1515 Greenbriar Blvd., Boulder, Colo., 80305) in compliance with the WUPSL's Minimum Standards.

FC Boulder WUPSL played road friendlies against Colorado School of Mines, Colorado Christian University and Regis University during the preseason, then defeated Colorado Rush SC, 2-0, in the first WUPSL league match on Sunday, Sept. 9.
