Follow on Google News | ![]() The Center for Contemporary Art to Host "Good Libations: A Benefit for The Center"Guests who would like to beat the crowds are invited to attend the Early Access Party from 6:00–7:00 p.m. This pre-event gathering will feature fabulous hors d'oeuvres from Laurence Craig Catering, special brews and signature cocktails. New Jersey vendors participating to date include: 2nd Act Beer, Alba Vineyard, Cooper River Distillers, Czig Meister Brewing Company, Demented Brewing Company, Milk Street Distillery and Skunktown Distillery. Throughout the evening music will be provided by the jazz trio Scouting Party, featuring Will Reisen playing guitar, Landon Peer on the piano and Zach Hann on clarinet. Take a Shot and Luck of the Draw raffles will give everyone the chance to go home a winner! Prizes include passes to Disney World; a cocktail reception at Seasons 52; a round of golf and lunch at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club; ballroom dancing lessons; artisan jewelry; a day with a personal shopper, a spa day and more! While attending Good Libations guests will enjoy The Center's three fall exhibitions. Synthesizing Nature is an invitational exhibit which explores the ongoing dialogue between nature and culture. It features work created by 10 nationally and internationally- The Center's instructor Gary Godbee, challenges the viewer's imagination with bright, colorful images and unique perceptions in his realist paintings. Last First Danceshowcases the latest work from New Jersey contemporary artist Lucas Kelly, whose objects in Kelly's words serve as "sensory triggers that precipitate nostalgic responses from the viewer." Good Libations is sponsored by Bottle Republic, Elite Taxi and Limousine of Bernardsville, Guide Fabrics, Investors Bank, Keiling Tree Care, Keller Williams Towne Square Realty - The Michele Klug Team, Laurence Craig Catering, Metropolitan Seafood, Morey, Nee, Buck & Oswald, LLC, Pluckemin Inn and The Todd Group. Proceeds from the this annual event will support all aspects of The Center's operations and education programs including art exhibitions, youth art programs, and outreach for children with autism, at-risk youth, adults with disabilities, people dealing with cancer and senior citizens. Good Libations will be held from 7:00–10:00 p.m. Tickets for the Early Access Party from 6:00-7:00 p.m.are $150 in advance ($175 at the door) and include admission to the full event. General Admission tickets are $65 ($75 at the door). Designated Driver tickets are $35 (Driver will not be served alcohol.)
