Revamped "NOIR" Concept by Fashion X Dallas becomes a Hit

Dallas fashionistas experienced a one-of-a-kind evening Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Sixty-Five Hundred for Fashion X Dallas "NOIR."

DALLAS - Oct. 10, 2017 - PRLog -- The revamped concept consisted of one night packed with action from 15 runway designers including Project Runway stars Korto Momolu and Amanda Valentine, Meroki, Don Murphy, Ferrah, Abi Ferrin, Chasity Sereal, Bentley + Lace, House of Cynthia, Brittany Nicole, Vaeward, Vendals, Silk Threads by Ruby Bhandri, Noha Raouf and Modish & Swank. Capsule collections from Sydney Morris, La Lo La Clothing, Amberleaf, Tashumbra, Colt Collections, Dalina Ford Swim, Daniel Hinojos and Ca$hmere Mafiiia were also included. With the new open floor plan, guests also enjoyed a mingling atmosphere as well as an epic gallery featuring jewelry and accessories designer pop-up shops.

The "NOIR" theme led guests to dress in their most sophisticated and elegant all-black outfits while creating the perfect contrast to allow all the pieces on the runway to really stand out. The venue buzzed with influencers, media guests, celebrity stylists and reality TV stars, who immersed themselves along with other fashion enthusiasts in a night of fashion ranging from the grand black carpet entrance to the open bar with signature cocktails, the runway show, and the vendor exhibit.

A special and exciting moment presented itself when Bernina, a presenting sponsor, awarded the Houston-based designer also Hurricane Harvey Survivor Chasity Sereal with the Bernina Fashion Fund which equipped her with a BERNINA 560 (B 560) sewing machine valued at $3,399.

Fashion X Dallas "NOIR" beneficiaries were Every Girl Deserves (EGD) Foundation and the Fashion Group International of Dallas. Every Girl Deserves supports selected designers whose talents have earned an invitation to showcase at major events, such as New York Fashion Week and Fashion X including materials, travel, entry fees and more. EGD grants will help chosen designers receive the exposure they deserve. Further, the charity raises awareness and funding for non-profit organizations fighting for the freedom of women around the globe. The Fashion Group Foundation has awarded over 1.6 million dollars in scholarships to talented and deserving fashion design and merchandising students from over 36 schools in the US through its annual scholarship competition program in the past 48 years.  The mission of the Foundation is to promote educational programs devoted to fashion and to the study of fashion-related businesses through the creation and awarding of scholarships; establishment of internship programs; to stimulate and encourage membership and industry participation in such public service activities.

Guests included: Real Housewives of Dallas Cast Member LeeAnne Locken, K104's DeDe in the Morning Host Dede McGuire, Celebrity Life Coach Steve Kemble, Fox News Anchor Dionne Anglin, Morning Dose Host Laila Muhammad and Good Morning Texas Host Jane McGarry. Other notable guests were Celebrity Concierge  Jackson, CW33 Host Raquel Gonzalez, Vintage Martini Owner Ken Weber, and influencers such as Christian Craven and Cynthia Smoot.
