Producer - TONY GAROFALO- Appears on the GingerNewYork TV Show in New York City

NEW YORK - Oct. 18, 2017 - PRLog -- Tony Garofalo: is co-producing an event with Chita Rivera, Hollywood and Broadway Tony Award winning star of West Side Story and Bye Bye Birdie. Chita Rivera will appear LIVE on Sunday, November 19, 2017 with Mr. Garofalo's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car on stage at the United Palace of Cultural Arts Theater in New York City.

Chita Rivera will be honored at the Annual Movie Gala where the 1968 movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will be shown at this historic vaudevillian theater. There will be many surprises, a Q&A with Ms. Rivera as well as the Chitty car's builder, Mr. Garofalo.

Tony Garofalo is the Lead Guitarist/Lead Vocalist, John Lennon Impersonator, Founder and Creator/Producer of the Beatles Tribute Band, Strawberry Fields. Since 2000, the band has performed the Saturday Brunch at the World Famous B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on West 42nd Street, Times Square, New York City.

Mr. Garofalo has also served as a veteran NYPD police officer for 20 years, and has risen to the ranks of both Detective and Sergeant in his career, with over 700 arrests to his credit and has worked in the central robbery unit, narcotics division, detective division, and internal affairs bureau. Mr. Garofalo was very well known by colleagues and police brass as the real Sergeant Pepper. Tony Garofalo was also a key contributor in the September 11th rescue and recovery effort both at Ground Zero and the Staten Island Fresh Kill location.

Tony Garofalo finished transforming a 1914 coupe he found in a New Jersey junkyard into a road-legal car that is an exact replica of the car from the 1968 film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  The vehical is registered, insured and legal to drive on the street, with seatbelts and valid license plates from 1914. The car was placed at the entrance of the 2016 Jacob K. Javits Convention Center's New York International Auto Show. (Source: New York Times) http://www.nychitty.com
