Chocolate toxicity occurs because Chocolate smells good and the aroma attracts pets.  They find it and eat it without a second thought and as a result they can become very ill and it can potentially be fatal.

The toxic components include theobromine and caffeine for which there is no direct antidote. If you think your pet may have eaten chocolate then you should call your Veterinarian immediately or better yet take your pet to the hospital immediately and call while on the way.
