Guests are invited to gather together for family-centric activities such as turkey cookie decorating and making fall spice sugar scrub to nightly Turkey Trot bonfires featuring salted caramel s'mores and hot apple cider. Pumpkin mani's and pedi's and pumpkin spice body scrubs and massages are available at Avani Spa and of course, no Thanksgiving celebration is complete without a turkey dinner buffet. Thanksgiving reservations are required for the swoon-worthy Thanksgiving buffet at the resort's award-winning 240° West restaurant featuring traditional fare such as herb roasted turkey, apple and sage stuffing and assorted house-baked pies, as well as gourmet treats such as butternut squash and white chocolate bisque, oysters in the half shell and Maple Leaf Farms breast of duck served with Door County bing cherries. The 9th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, November 25 inside the iconic Abbey Resort. Old St. Nick will arrive at 6 p.m. sharp to get the party started, and the icing on the Christmas cookies will be the lighting of the traditional Abbey Resort Christmas Tree at 6:45 p.m. when one good boy or girl is selected by Santa to turn on the holiday spirit by pulling the switch to illuminate the tree.
