Quantum Theory Hooks Acacia Fisher

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Nov. 15, 2017 - PRLog -- Representing repertory film company 8 Sided Films, director Tennyson E. Stead announces the casting of classically trained actor Acacia Fisher as fast-talking hacker "Alex" in the company's upcoming science-fiction heist movie, Quantum Theory. "What I find so fun about Alex," explains Fisher "is the challenge of removing emotions, not to say that Alex doesn't have emotion, but she moves through the world so intently that she doesn't get bogged down in feelings."

Quantum Theory is the story of two women of science who build a prototype with the power to manipulate reality itself, and who must find a way to reclaim that technology when it falls into ruthless hands. "What makes it good," according to Fisher, "is the uncomplicated and pure love between the core characters." As the film's writer and director, Stead elaborates to say that "people forget what actors with the craft of someone like Acacia Fisher can accomplish when they're given structured scenework, a cast of equals, and the time to do the work. Our goal is to bring people back to the movies for the performance and the community of it, and any clever film tricks are just there to provide another layer and maybe have some fun."

Recently graduating with a master's degree of acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Acacia Fisher works extensively in commercials and in classical theater.  Tennyson E. Stead is an award-winning writer and director with writing and production credits in feature films, theater, and web content. 8 Sided Films is an independent film company built on the values and practices of repertory theater, including active, mutual accountability for the excellence of a production and for the integrity of a production's community of support.
