By: Zach and Zoe Sweet Bee Farm Zach and Zöe Sweet Bee Farm's journey with bee keeping began once they moved to Hunterdon County, NJ from Montclair, NJ in 2013. Their raw honey development was inspired by their youngest child Zach, who had trials with allergies. After trying several remedies, they realized that raw honey may be the best for him. "We read about the many benefits of local, raw honey and that it can help prevent allergies. The concept is called immunotherapy and the philosophy is to strategically expose your body to the element you are allergic to, which over time should make you less sensitive to it. We started with two hives four years ago and continued to increase the number of hives each year" mentions Summer Johnson, Zach and Zöe's mother. The family is proud of their progress in the food industry, because of a curious risk they've taken. "We're excited to be partnered with Whole Foods and Amazon as two of our amazing retailers. The relationship was developed after a featured vendor session at food incubator, Food Works, based in Brooklyn. We, at Zach and Zöe Sweet Bee Farm, are excited about our accomplishments in this journey of finding alternative options for ourselves and others. We're ready for what's to come and hope that the supporters of our honey will join us on this ride." About Zach and Zöe Sweet Bee Farm: Our honey is produced by free-range, farm-raised honey bees, then infused with the earth's most powerful superfoods. While filtration and pasteurization leave most honeys nutritionally dead, Zach & Zoe's raw unfiltered honey is packed with powerful anti-oxidants, live enzymes, and a wide range of vitamins and minerals.
