By: LEATHER64TEN About Our Santa Window Display The holiday season has arrived and that means it's time to put up the holiday décor at Leather64TEN with our Santa window display. The Santa figurines that have been featured in the Leather64TEN window display have been collected in a span of 50+ years by store owner Eric Kugleman. Five years ago he decided "Why not share my collection of Santa figurines with the community so everyone can enjoy it for the holiday season, Let's make a window display at the store with every single figurine!". And there you go, a new idea and annual tradition was born… The store created their first Santa window display in 2013 and it received rave reviews and comments from everyone passing by and visiting the area and now it has now become a tradition to be seen every holiday season. Santa Overload 2017 Last year something miraculous happened at the store, although there was never any actual promotion to "collect" Santa figurines in 2016, throughout the holiday season the store was receiving random gifts from area residents and friends of their own Santa figurines to add to the display. They received over 20 figurines last year just by people wishing to contribute to the window. Therefore, we decided, why not try something different in 2017 and let's see how many Santas we can put in the window. Let's allow people to contribute if they wish to and the store can give away $5 in Leather64TEN Bucks to everyone that contributes to the Santa Overload 2017 Window Campaign! (*$5 L64TEN Bucks is valid on a regular priced in-store purchase of $30 or more. Santa figurines to be approved by staff for $5 L64TEN Bucks) Food Drive for the Greater Chicago Food Depository Along with our Santa Overload campaign, we wanted to create an opportunity to give back to the community during the holiday season so we decided we would also collect shelf-stable food items to donate to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. We will also gladly give $5 in L64TEN Bucks for your food donations. We will collect donations through the end of the year and deliver them to the Greater Chicago Food Depository the first week of January.
