Nightingale College Named One of the Top Workplaces in Utah for the Second Time in Three Years

SALT LAKE CITY - Nov. 29, 2017 - PRLog -- Nightingale College is excited to be recognized as one of Utah's Top Workplaces by the Salt Lake Tribune.

For the second time in three years, Nightingale has placed among the top workplaces in the small business category. This year Nightingale was ranked No. 21 (http://www.topworkplaces.com/frontend.php/regional-list/company/saltlake/nightingale-college).

Kevin Smith, Director of Organizational Development and Effectiveness, said "Our employees increasingly find meaningfulness and connection by helping the College to achieve our vision of 'Better Health & Better Humanity for a Better World.' They flourish in a context of challenge and security and understand we don't stop living our values at the end of the workday."

The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.

"The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it's all about fancy perks and benefits." says Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. "But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health...Time and time again, our research has proven that what's most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it's going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together." Claffey adds, "Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn't have a shot at being named a Top Workplace."

Nightingale was previously nominated in 2015, placing 15th. Mikhail Shneyder, President and CEO of Nightingale, contributed Nightingale's continued success to the College's atmosphere.

"Everyone here knows that they belong," said Shneyder. "Through its alignment frameworks, our embracive culture allows all collaborators to meaningfully contribute to realizing the company's vision, while elevating themselves to become the best they could be, both personally and professionally."

The Salt Lake Tribune explained that this year 781 organizations were nominated, their employees completing over 20,000 surveys. Divided into three size categories, 70 companies scored high enough to be listed.

Nightingale College is proud to be recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Utah and attributes its continued success and growth to the dedication of each and every collaborator who work to bring Nightingale's vision to life.
