United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "The UPSL is 'Connecting American Soccer' yet again with an outstanding ownership group coming into the mix, and we're pleased to welcome Nebraska Bugeaters FC. Owner Jonathan Collura has stewarded successful professional clubs both here and abroad, thus ownership appreciates the UPSL's Pro/Rel Model and wants to a part of that movement. Founded by third-generation Nebraska native Jonathan Collura, Bugeaters FC is just the start of a vision for soccer in the region. Nebraska Bugeaters FC Chairman Jonathan Collura said, "Here's how we measure success at the end of the day: Number One, Have we built a fan base? Number Two, Have we been able to tap into the youth soccer community and have we been able to help them? And Number Three, Do we have a player that goes off to do something great? That's really how I'm going to be judging the success of this." Collura, 42, is a graduate of the University of Nebraska ('98) and attended Creighton University School of Law. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Texas-based SAF Capital Partners and Owner of 1836 Capital. "I am excited about being involved in UPSL'S expansion in my home state. The UPSL's business model will allow us to focus capital in to development," Tim Pendrell, a graduate of the University of Nebraska and New York University, will serve as the team's General Manager. The group will be identifying candidates for Head Coach and will conduct interviews with coaches in the near future. Any potential candidates are welcome to contact the club. Nebraska Bugeaters FC is currently finalizing its venue in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards. The team soon will announce its upcoming game schedule.
