Retired NYPD Detective Turned Author Donates Over 25,000 Books to Kids This Christmas

NEW YORK - Dec. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- Michael Sheahan is a highly decorated retired NYPD Detective from the NYPD/FBI Joint Federal Task Force. Michael is also an award winning Childrens book author, Singer-Songwriter, producer and publisher. He is giving the gift of literacy, music and kindness to kids in need this Holiday Season.

Many years ago he formed a conglomerate of companies under Finest Worldwide Entertainment (Finest Music, Finest Books, Finest Media, Fine St Records & Finest Worldwide Management Group). Michael created a character named Mr. Holidays, and released his first book with a musical CD & Dance instructional DVD titled

"Mr. Holidays Presents The Roof Top Hop" won three of the biggest awards in the children's book industry. Winning two Moonbeam Children's book awards for Best Holiday Book, Best Holiday book with music/Theatrical, and the prestigious Independent Book Publishers award at Book Expo America's IPPY Award.

Recently Michael was inspired by his good friend Ben Stroh (of A-LINE EDS) who resides in Iowa. When the hurricane hit Texas, Ben went to his local Walmart and completely bought out two shipments of water, and donated & shipped them in tractor trailer loads to the people wiped out by the disaster in Texas. Michael was so touched by this kindness and good will he started reaching out across the country to Schools, communities, hospitals, and charities to offer and donate his award winning books in hopes it will bring a smile to the children's faces this Christmas. Michael just started this campaign in October and already has shipped out 25,000 copies of his book to children across the country. The response for his books has been amazing.

Michael wishes to donate over 100,000 books to the children and ship them in time for Christmas 2017. He titled this campaign "The Gift Keeps Giving" cause he feels it was a gift from above that inspired him to create Mr. Holidays. A gift to be honored with three awards for his creation, and a gift to be able to pay it forward to bring a smile to as many children's faces this Christmas 2017 Holiday Season as possible.
