United Premier Soccer League Announces Colorado Conference Expansion with Monaco Futbol Club

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 18, 2017 - PRLog -- The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Monaco Futbol Club as a new member starting with the 2018 Spring Season.

Based in Denver (Colo.), Monaco Futbol Club will begin UPSL play in the Colorado Conference.

United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "There is a lot of movement with the Championship Division in the UPSL's Colorado Conference ahead of next season, and we welcome Monaco FC as a new member of our league. Monaco FC has been a competitive side for a while now, consistently proving itself against the best competition in Colorado. We wish Monaco FC luck as it prepares for kickoff in 2018."

Owned by Magdiel Ruiz, Monaco FC has competed in the Colorado Premier Soccer League among others. Ruiz, 42, is a native of Mexico and owns Morelo Roofing of Denver.

Monaco Futbol Club President Magdiel Ruiz said, "We've playing in the CPL since 2010 and we do a good job at tournaments. Now it's time to go up a level and find better competition."

The frequent Colorado State Cup qualifier and Alianza Colorado men's amateur tournament stalwart, Monaco FC was a USASA National Cup participant in 2013.

The club is exploring its venue options in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards. The team soon will announce its upcoming game schedule.

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 110 teams in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 125-plus teams targeted for 2018 Spring Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
