Golf Squad's Jeff Shores, PGA, awarded the 2017 Carolinas PGA Award for Player Development

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Dec. 20, 2017 - PRLog -- Golf Squad has been offering PGA Professional golf instruction to junior golfers since 2011 and to adult corporate golfers since the beginning of 2016. Jeff's unwavering support for PGA Professionals, with their classes all being instructed by PGA Members and Apprentices only, has led Golf Squad to become a leader in golf education across the country. Under his guidance, the Golf Squad Enrichment and Corporate Offerings were designed to encourage a love and deep understanding for the game of golf.

After being inspired by a PGA Seminar on Growth of the Game, Jeff developed a series of instructional handbooks covering etiquette, rules, history, vocabulary, and swinging a golf club, all designed to educate participants on the process of becoming a golfer. Golf Squad began as a small, local, after school program, and has since grown into a widespread national business. With Jeff as Executive Director, Golf Squad has contracted instructional services from hundreds of PGA Members and Apprentices. Golf Squad provides the opportunity and way for PGA Members to connect with their communities, primarily through teaching the game at local schools as well as corporate venues.

Jeff has been a PGA Member since 1998. The PGA of America comprises 27,000 men and woman professionals with one singular goal in mind – to make the game of golf more enjoyable for everyone.

Established in 1923, the Carolinas PGA Section of the Professional Golfers' Association has grown to be the largest of the PGA's forty-one sections with almost 2,000 professional members.
