Talk About Living Up To Your Name!

JOHANNESBURG - Jan. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Mahadi is a rich culture that dates back to the days of the Old Testament. It is recorded in Genesis 24:53 that the servant who was sent to fetch a wife for Isaac, brought out jewels of silver and gold, garments and other precious things for Rebekah and her family. After they presented the gifts, they ate and drank to celebrate. Although paying lobola for a bride is a culture that Africans pride themselves on, and a gesture of appreciation and gratitude to the bride's family, Mahadi´s parents went through the process of accepting lobola for her repeatedly, for no man fit the bill of a perfect man for her. But after reading James 2:7; "….the precious name by which you are distinguished and called (the name of Christ invoked in baptism)", she understood that God called her from her mother´s womb by that distinguishing name and she came to know the perfect Man who gave her the strength to make a U-turn to her inner self which flows with rivers of living water. Just like the woman at the well, Jesus gave her everlasting water to quench her thirst for a life full of purpose. Mahadi is now drawing positive energy from her name and is living up to the name of Christ. She is using her mess to be a message to other women.

God created humans in His image and likeness and instructed them to be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Most humans have mastered the 'multiply and fill the earth' part. It is the 'be fruitful' part that most are struggling with. Most people find themselves in the wilderness, helpless and hopeless because of bad decisions, disappointments, and failure. In her book, Mahadi encourages women who feel empty, discouraged, exhausted, weary, lonely, and have lost their sense of purpose, to make a U-turn to their inner self which flows with rivers of living water that will help them to be fruitful in all areas of their lives.
