Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Co. Acquires Vulcan Safety Shoe Service, Inc

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Jan. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company, a leading supplier of top-quality safety shoe footwear, has recently completed the purchased Vulcan Safety Shoe Service, Inc. from the President of the company, Robert Alvarez. Like Saf-Gard, Vulcan has provided top quality safety footwear to their customers for decades and places a premium on supplying the latest comfort features and safety technologies to ensure that customers have the best footwear for their jobs.

For Saf-Gard this acquisition was a natural fit since Vulcan was also part of the Hytest Network, and carried the same brands as Saf-Gard, as well as having their own fleet of shoemobiles. In addition to Saf-Gard's sixteen retail locations across the eastern seaboard, the safety shoe provider will now be taking up operations at the four Georgia facilities as well as the Greenville, South Carolina facility that previously belonged to Vulcan.

"Because of our dedicated team, we anticipate a seamless transition from Vulcan to Saf-Gard for our new employees." Karen Young, President of HR Resolutions and Saf-Gard's chosen human resource agency stated.  In addition to the HR team, several Saf-Gard employees have been on-site at the newly acquired locations for the past week to assist with Saf-Gard orientation and acclimation for Vulcan's employees, ensuring Young's prediction of a seamless transition.
