The Search for the 2018 Banpresto World Figure Colosseum Sculpting Champions Begins

TOKYO, Japan - Jan. 12, 2018 - PRLog -- BANPRESTO CO., LTD., today announced that it is holding an open casting call for their unique competition series the "Banpresto World Figure Colosseum - an epic showdown of artistic skill and imagination as contestants create figures based on popular Dragon Ball Z and One Piece characters.

Each contestant will choose from an approved list of characters from the Dragon Ball Z and One Piece franchises from which to create their figure. Artists have near-complete control over their process--from the overall style, the pose, traditional clay sculpting or digital 3D modelling tools, the production and coloring process. At the end of the season, the winner of the Dragon Ball Z and One Piece contest will walk away with $10,000 … and the right to call themselves a Banpresto World Figure Colosseum champion.

"The artistry and imagination that all of the past Banpresto World Figure Colosseum contestants have shown in past seasons has never failed to impress and amaze me," said Norihiko Sakata, Director of Production at Banpresto. "I'm definitely looking forward to all of the fantastic sculpts that next year's contestants will bring to the table."
