Mandy Gonzalez at Adelphi University on February 2 at 7:30 p.m

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Jan. 16, 2018 - PRLog -- Mandy Gonzalez takes the night off from her role as Angelica Schuyler in the hit musical phenomenon Hamilton to kick off the second half of the Adelphi University Performing Art Center's (Adelphi PAC) 10^th Anniversary season. Mandy Gonzalez will perform on Friday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m. on the Westermann Stage, Concert Hall in the Adelphi PAC, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, New York.

One of the most powerful and versatile voices in musical theatre, Mandy Gonzalez originated the role of Nina Rosario in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights, a role she created Off Broadway at 37 Arts and for which she received a Drama Desk Award. Ms. Gonzalez has appeared as Princess Amneris in the Elton John and Tim Rice musical Aida and in the Broadway show Lennon. She was recently seen starring as Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked, for which she was awarded a Broadway.com Award for Best Replacement.

Ms. Gonzalez can be seen on the CBS hit "Madam Secretary." She is also a Warner Music artist and recently released her debut album, FEARLESS, which debuted at #13 on the iTunes pop charts. Mandy founded the social media movement #FearlessSquad, which works to create a sense of belongingness, inclusiveness and positivity in social media.

Ms. Gonzalez will perform songs from throughout her musical theatre career, as well as songs from her album FEARLESS. She will be joined onstage by students from Adelphi University and Garden City High School.
