Long Standing Hair Salon in North Boulder Changing Ownership

LAFAYETTE, Colo. - Jan. 18, 2018 - PRLog -- After almost 29 years as owners and operators of Chicago Hair Salon, David and Liz Pruess have decided to pass the torch to one of their long-time employees, Shauna Freeman. David and Liz started the salon in Boulder in 1989.  After being located in Williams Village for many years, Chicago Hair Salon was one of the first businesses in the now 12-year-old Uptown Broadway, a mixed used development located in the heart of the new commercial area in North Boulder.  Both David and Liz plan to continue seeing clients at the salon while providing on-going mentorship to Shauna.  "We are very excited by this opportunity to have our long-time business not only continue, but grow stronger" said outgoing owner David.  "Shauna has always been our best hairstylist and educator.  Educating stylists has been one of our core values.  It helps us provide the best services" said. Shauna began studying hair while attending high school in Longmont. She has honed her skills over the last 15 years by working at various salons around the state as well as spending several weeks learning new techniques in New York City. Shauna spent the last 10 years working with David and Liz and looks to continue Chicago Hair's tradition of high quality service in a relaxed atmosphere.
