In addition, veterans receive expert guidance in writing resumes, preparing for interviews, networking effectively and building confidence, empowering them to launch IT careers with tremendous growth potential. "Our partnership with Boeing enables us to build bridges and provide support to veterans who lack the resources for critical training and equally important, the direct access to employers. We are pleased to report that we have already placed veterans in positions paying from $50-80,000," U.S. VETS, the nation's largest nonprofit addressing veteran homelessness, has developed a program specifically for veterans suffering from combat-related psychological injuries. Outside the Wire is an early-intervention and prevention, non-residential program for veterans and their family members. The goal is to provide access to mental health counseling as soon as service members separate from the military and begin the transition to civilian life. "It is only through the generous support of corporations like Boeing that we are able to intervene and provide life-saving services to those veterans and military families most in need," said Robert K. In addition to working closely with the network of service providers at Patriotic Hall, JVS SoCal and U.S. VETS are both active members of the Los Angeles Veterans Collaborative and partner with local community colleges, the entire AJCC network, as well as donors and employers across a broad range of industries.
