CTM Media Group Joins Project Time Off to Celebrate National Plan for Vacation Day

STAMFORD, Conn. - Jan. 30, 2018 - PRLog -- CTM Media Group, one of North America's largest distributors of tourism and visitor information has joined forces with  Project: Time Off (https://www.projecttimeoff.com/planforvacation), an advocacy group leading the national movement to transform American attitudes about the importance of vacation time.  Research confirms that vacation planners are happier with their health and well-being, their financial picture, their personal relationships and even their overall mood.

"There is no time like today to jumpstart your next vacation.  Vacations are when people find their adventures and moments of discovery that fuel them through their stressful lives" said Peter Magaro, President, CTM Media Group. "#PlanYourVacation is an excellent movement to kick start planning efforts and encourage everyone to enjoy leisure time with family and friends."

Every year more than half of Americans fail to use all their time off, leading to 662 million unused vacation days a year. The most effective remedy for American workers who want to use more vacation days is better planning. Research shows that planners have a distinct advantage over non-planners. Project: Time Off's The State of American Vacation 2017 (https://www.projecttimeoff.com/state-american-vacation-2017) report found that planners use more of their time, take longer vacations, and are happier.

·         75 percent of planners were more likely to take a full week of vacation time or more at a time.

·         Individuals who plan their vacation are "very" or "extremely" happy with their relationships, health, well-being, and job compared to responses of non-planners.

The annual National Plan for Vacation Day is a call-to-action for Americans to take back their calendars and plan their time off.  To help employees get their vacation days on the calendar, Project: Time Off created a vacation planning tool (https://www.projecttimeoff.com/plan#calendar). By simply entering the number of days off earned, users can plot out their trips or vacations for the year, export to their work or personal calendar, and share with their family and co-workers.
