Blue Star Innovation Partners Adds CounterFind to Its Portfolio of Tech Investments

FRISCO, Texas - Feb. 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Blue Star Innovation Partners ("BSIP"), an investment fund founded by Jerry Jones, the Jones family, and entrepreneur Rob Wechsler, today announced its investment in software company CounterFind which tracks and eliminates ads selling counterfeit merchandise online. The investment will bolster BSIP's portfolio of high-growth technology companies that provide game-changing services across a range of markets.

Founded by former Dallas Cowboys player Darren Woodson, CounterFind enables brands to detect and remove online ads and listings of counterfeit merchandise through the use of image recognition and industry expertise. Since its founding in 2016, the company has established relationships with several high-profile clients including Universal Music Group, Collegiate Licensing Company, and Epic Rights.

BSIP's investment will provide CounterFind with a host of resources to accelerate its growth. In addition to providing strategic guidance and access to its coveted network of contacts in the technology, sports, and entertainment industries, BSIP has designated Wechsler to serve on CounterFind's board of directors. CounterFind will also operate out of BSIP's office space located at Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters at The Star in Frisco.

"Partnering with BSIP will amplify our ability to deliver services to the companies that need them," said Woodson. "Together, we can help artists, athletes, franchises, and other brands protect their customers from counterfeiters."

The investment in CounterFind will significantly expand BSIP's interests in sports, technology, and merchandising businesses, key growth sectors for the fund. Since hiring its first employee in 2017, BSIP has made equity investments in three companies, two of which directly serve football players and teams.

"The fund is attracted to companies with outstanding management teams and the potential to transform the industries they serve," said Chad Estes, BSIP's Vice President of Business Operations. "Given CounterFind's innovative service offering and proven favor in the market, we're excited to support its team as it continues to expand."
