PRLog -- The Diary of Anne Frank is now playing at the Geva Theater in Rochester, NY from Feb.13th through Mar.18, 2018. The stage was dark and was a beautiful rendition of what the attic in Amsterdam looked like during the war. Ann Lentz who plays Anne Frank is making her debut with an outstanding performance. The role of Ann Arvia (Mrs. Van Daan) shows what a delight of a women she was and how stress of the horrific situation grows as 2 years pass by not having any privacy, much food and sleepless nights. Steve Hendrickson (Otto Frank) took charge of the situation laying out all the rules, and giving comfort while Naama Potaok ( Edith Frank) was meek and mild and a gentle soul who tried her best to keep her daughters as happy as possible with a world of death and gun fire happening right outside the building. The play depicts Anne and her sister Margot (Devon Prokopek) and some of the challenges in the attic, and you could hear a pin drop as the quietness of the audience did not want to miss one word. It was as if
we moved an arm or leg the Nazis would hear us as we were taken on this journey back in history. The performance took us right into the attic with them. This is an event that you do not want to miss, along with a lesson in history. The whole cast was incredible and I am still feeling its power days later. The Diary of Anne Frank is one of the most famous literally readings published from the hand of a young girl.
