BPA Names Ross as Executive Director

COLUMBUS, Ohio - March 5, 2018 - PRLog -- A search committee representing a cross section of the organization conducted a thorough national search in partnership with California-based search firm, Scion Executive Search. Ross rose to the top as the lone finalist due to her extensive experience in non-profit executive leadership, education, fundraising, human services, healthcare, advocacy, and community development. LouAnn's extensive background and experience, combined with her passion for our mission and her vision for growth, are a perfect match for the strategic advancement of our organization. Her leadership experience includes serving as the Director of Community & Governmental Affairs at the American Heart Association, Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services Inc., State Director & President of Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania, and Director of Youth & Family Policy at the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Child Development. Ross has also served as a first grade teacher in the Bertie County School District (North Carolina). Most recently, she served as the founding Executive Director of Jeremiah's Place, a Pittsburgh based non-profit focused on providing emergency care for children of families in need. Ross currently serves as the Community Schools Coordinator in the Office of the Superintendent for Pittsburgh Public Schools. Ross earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration and a Master of Public Policy & Management from the University of Pittsburgh. She also earned a Master of Education from East Carolina University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Point Park University. Ross' appointment is effective April 2, 2018.
