Follow on Google News | BPA Names Ross as Executive DirectorThe National Board of Trustees has named LouAnn Ross as the Executive Director of Business Professionals of America
Her leadership experience includes serving as the Director of Community & Governmental Affairs at the American Heart Association, Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services Inc., State Director & President of Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania, and Director of Youth & Family Policy at the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Child Development. Ross has also served as a first grade teacher in the Bertie County School District (North Carolina). Most recently, she served as the founding Executive Director of Jeremiah's Place, a Pittsburgh based non-profit focused on providing emergency care for children of families in need. Ross currently serves as the Community Schools Coordinator in the Office of the Superintendent for Pittsburgh Public Schools. "It is an incredible honor to be named the Executive Director of Business Professionals of America, an innovative CTSO leader for more than fifty years. I am grateful to the Board of Directors for this remarkable opportunity and I look forward to working with the dedicated BPA staff, national officers, and state and classroom advisory councils as together we prepare students for the global workforce. " said Ross. Ross earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration and a Master of Public Policy & Management from the University of Pittsburgh. She also earned a Master of Education from East Carolina University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Point Park University.
