Apache Junction Unified School District Announces New Logo Contest

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. - March 14, 2018 - PRLog -- Calling all graphic artists. The Apache Junction Unified School District announced today they are launching a contest for a new logo. The contest is open to students, employees and members of the community. The logo should be a professional-quality design that is easily recognizable and captures the spirit of AJUSD.

How to Enter the Contest

The contest begins March 13, 2018.  Submissions will be accepted through March 30, 2018. The top three entries will be selected based on the decision of a panel of judges. The winning entry will be selected by the Governing Board and announced April 11. Winners will be announced via a press release, social media posts and by direct contact to the winners' email accounts. In order for your entry to be submitted and reviewed by our judges, all entries must be:

• Submitted directly to Sally Marks, smarks@goaj.org
• Submitted in their original source file and
• Submitted as a high resolution pdf with 300 dpi or higher
• Be submitted in a software program that we can open (Word, Adobe, In Design etc.)
• Logo design should be three colors or less

Logo Requirements

• Professional: This logo may be featured on our website, our social media platforms and other mediums (stationery, pamphlets, AJUSD vehicles, shirts etc). As a result, while we want the logo to be eye-catching, it must still be legible.
• Color: Due to budget restrictions we ask that the design be limited to three colors or less and look good and be easily legible, even when displayed in black and white.
• Integrity: Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published. Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting.

Contest Details

Winners will be selected by a Logo Contest Committee and the final design will be approved by the AJUSD Governing Board. Contestants agree that AJUSD may publish their logo and name(s) and may use both for advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials in the future. Contestants assign all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights to the logo, to AJUSD.  Additionally, AJUSD may alter, modify or revise the logo as needed. AJUSD reserves the right to not select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

Prize

The contest winner will not receive monetary compensation (other than bragging rights) but will receive recognition via a press release, social media messaging and more.
