Premier Health Affiliated Urgent Care Centers Earn Prestigious UCAOA Accreditation Again!

BATON ROUGE, La. - March 18, 2018 - PRLog -- The Urgent Care Association of American has announced that Premier Health's 40+ affiliated urgent care centers have been singled out for re-accreditation. UCAOA accreditation is the highest level of distinction tailored specifically for the urgent care industry. As part of the re-accreditation process every three years, the UCAOA requires operators to allow independent surveyors access to randomly selected urgent care centers in multiple service areas. Each center is rigorously inspected to ensure the company's protocols meet or exceed standards in place since the initial inspection. The scope of urgent care services, patient care best practices, governance, quality management, safety, the physical condition of facilities and compliance with regulations are all subject to evaluation.

Founded 20 years ago, Premier Health primarily operates urgent care centers in partnership with some of the nation's top health systems. The company was one of the first to utilize a joint-venture model for the ownership of urgent care centers. Sellars says, "Premier owes its longevity in a very competitive marketplace to experience and 'lessons learned' over a period of two decades.
