Follow on Google News | The Bear Creek School's Performing Arts Department Presents Disney's "Beauty and the Beast"As a preschool – grade 12 school, Bear Creek is excited about this family-friendly production. This well-loved tale echoes the greatest story of all...the story of God's redemptive love for us. Throughout history, people have been drawn to the story of Beauty and the Beast, a "tale as old as time" written almost 300 years ago by French novelist Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve. It is easy to connect with the humanity of the castle objects. Whether it be the motherly warmth of Mrs. Potts, the wonder of Chip, or the fiery passion of Lumiere, each character embodies the human condition in a way that we can understand. At Bear Creek, the arts are taught as part of the regular school curriculum (not extra-curricular) We hope you will be our guest and join our cast, orchestra, and tech crew of more than 80 high school students as they share with you this lively, colorful, and enchanting musical. All performances are open to the public. The Bear Creek School's Performing Arts Center is located at our Redmond Campus in our Upper School (8525 208th Ave NE, Redmond WA, 98053). All guest parking is next door at Bear Creek's Redmond Campus Main Building (8905 208th Ave NE, Redmond). Follow the lighted footpath to the Performing Arts Center at the Upper School. POTTS: Abby Manullang, senior, Newcastle CHIP: Emma Firminger, freshman, Redmond MAURICE: Jack Carruth, senior, Redmond BABETTE: Meagan Mulligan, junior, Duvall MADAME DE LA GRANDE BOUCHE: Grace McBride, freshman, Carnation About The Bear Creek School Founded in 1988, in Redmond, Washington, The Bear Creek School is an independent classical Christian school that believes only when faith, mind, and heart are fed together can students experience the fullness of education which produces leaders who think well and are compelled to engage the world. Recognized as a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School, Bear Creek serves students from the greater Eastside and is housed on two campuses. Redmond Campus on Union Hill serves kindergarten through grade 12 students. Valley Campus, also in Redmond, serves preschool students.
