PROFINET & Modbus TCP now supported on Perle IDS Industrial Switches

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - April 17, 2018 - PRLog -- Perle Systems, a global provider of secure device networking hardware, today announced support for Modbus TCP and PROFINET on Perle IDS-300 and IDS-500 Industrial Managed Switches.

To get Ethernet devices networked immediately, the IDS plug and play switches can be directly installed and managed via PLC, NMS, HMI or SCADA systems using PROFINET or Modbus TCP.

PROFINET and Modbus/TCP protocol support is in addition to the already comprehensive set of management functions, including MRP (IEC62439-2), management VLAN, QoS, RMON, N:1 port mirroring, local alert log and IPv6.
