SINGAPORE, 19 April 2018 – Catch the inaugural one-day fiesta - Japanese Bluefin Tuna Night on 20 April 2018 at Element and Element on Tras Street. Known as the biggest type of tuna in Japan, it is greatly sought after by fresh fish aficionados.  Amara Singapore has imported the 56kg bluefin tuna from Okinawa. Catch the skillful showmanship of the Japanese chef serving the prized fish and savour unlimited portions of the distinctive raw tuna.

Like grading beef, Bluefin tuna is classified into grades based on the fat content.

1.     Akami: Lean and deep red in colour

2.     Toro: Pale pinkish red meat, the fatty part found in the belly portion of the tuna and broken down into two further types, Chuturo (belly area along the side of the fish between Akami and Otoro. While the latter is the fattiest portion and can only be obtained from Bluefin Tuna.

Besides the endless servings of the exquisite meat, a selection of international buffet spread is available during that evening. No rush to sample the delicacy, ala carte menu - the Kaiseki set is available for those who prefer to have the fish with a glass of liquor.
