Drug Rehab Center in Rochester Has Official Launch

ROCHESTER, Minn. - April 23, 2018 - PRLog -- A women's only drug rehab center in Rochester that opened last week in Rochester, MN has brought community members together and given hope to those in recovery.

The Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge, has been open since November and has provided treatment to 29 women struggling with an addiction, but the official launch of the center happened was last week.

At last week's event, the women getting addiction treatment talked about their past experiences and about their journey to recovery.

"Today is all about celebrating life, the hope and the help that's available to the women here," said Tom Truszinski, the director of the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge center during the ceremony.

The drug rehab center is able to treat 74 patients in 37 double rooms.

It offers both short-term programs, for 30 women maximum, and long-term programs, for 44 women maximum.

According to Truszinski, the area needed a new drug rehab center and/or addiction treatment facility specifically for women.

He added that upon the establishment of the organization's first drug rehab center in the region, local officials contacted the members of the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge to highlight help specifically for women was needed.

The members of center stated that their men's facility has served approximately 1,500 patients.

The patients are referred to the new center by their parents, spouses or law enforcement officials or they can seek treatment for themselves.

Truszinski also said that the center is expected to be fully booked by next month.
