Boys & Girls Club Announces New Director of Major Gifts and Director of Operations

New employees bring great experience and passion for kids to the Club

OXNARD, Calif. - May 1, 2018 - PRLog -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme announce two new employees, Nicole Eads is the new director of major gifts and resource development; and Ashley Lyden is the new director of operations.

"Nicole and Ashley both bring great experience in working with youth and nonprofits," said Erin Antrim, CEO BGCOP. "They are passionate about helping the youth in our community and will be great additions to our team."

Eads previously worked as the director of development and support services at the Ventura Family YMCA, where she managed all fundraising, grant writing, and major gifts for Ventura YMCA. She was also responsible for recruitment and hiring of new staff. She has held managerial positions at United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, Ventura & Santa Barbara and Project Independence. Eads has a human resource management professional certification from the University of California, Los Angeles; and a bachelor's degree from California State University, Long Beach.

Lyden previously worked as the director of operations at the Ventura Boys & Girls Club, where she assisted program staff and volunteers in planning, organization and evaluation of programs, provided technical advice to human resources staff and worked closely with Club staff. She has also worked as a branch director, learning center director, art director and teen director at the Ventura Boys & Girls Club. Lyden graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Wyoming.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme is a nonprofit 501© (3) youth service organization. BGCOP's mission is "to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential, as productive, responsible and caring citizens." Services are provided in three freestanding clubhouses in Oxnard and Port Hueneme which include a dedicated Teen Center, 11 public school program sites, one Club site in Nyeland Acres, one site at a Squires Public Housing, and the first Boys & Girls Club in a juvenile hall in the State of California. The purpose of BGCOP is to provide social, educational and recreational programs to all youth ages 6-18 years old, with an emphasis on those in underserved areas. Annual member dues is $20.00 however, no one is turned away regardless of ability to pay. Over 10,400 youth and teens are served annually.
