Duro Felguera signs a commercial agreement with Metco Engineering

DALLAS - May 2, 2018 - PRLog -- Duro Felguera has signed an MOU with Metco Engineering to create a consortium to jointly undertake of energy efficiency and energy resilience projects in the USA.
The agreement has a medium-term order intake target of US$ 200-500 Million per year. To achieve this target, the companies have identified a pipeline of power generation projects, for both private customers and governmental entities, across several states that fit with the capabilities and the strategy of both companies. A joint team has been appointed and is already working on the follow-up of these projects and the development of bid offers. The consortium will provide expert engineering, program management and construction management support as well as assisting with preparation for the procurement of the main contracts. Resiliency, sustainable energy and energy security are largest drivers for investment in USA and Canada.
The entry of DF in the market of energy efficiency and energy resilience in the USA is a key step towards the achievement of the targets included in the business plan that will be presented to investors. The diversification in the business selection and a better market positioning are, together with a productivity increase, the key elements of Duro Felguera's relaunch. Specifically, the business that Duro Felguera will access through this alliance with Metco, offers better margins and a more recurrent income flow with a lower operational risk profile.
Both companies are confident that this combination of strategic skills and expertise will strengthen their position in delivering support in the global energy and climate transition.
Additionally, both parties are exploring the collaboration and growth in other businesses by way of both a direct participation in DF subsidiaries and the creation of JVs.
