Being an emergency responder brings a unique set of pressure and stressors, and ILFFPS addresses those concerns through the people who understand the most: other emergency responders. Issues such as anxiety, drug or alcohol abuse, and PTSD are covered through trained peer supporters and other medical professionals, and ongoing mental well-being classes are brought directly to firehouses.
