New Alcohol & Drug Detox Center in Largo Causes Controversy

LARGO, Fla. - May 22, 2018 - PRLog -- An alcohol and drug detox center that recently opened in the city of Largo, Florida has been causing controversy among locals.

The alcohol and drug detox center — Clean Life — is situated in a residential area where many neighbors claim to not have been warned about the new business. They said they are worried about the people that will come to the neighborhood because of the center.

Clean Life assured they will be good partners to the community and promised to provide full-time surveillance in and around the premises.

The representatives added that the locals they have spoken with are glad content about the new facility since the area lacked addiction treatment services.

The drug detox facility is the first of its kind in Pinellas County, representatives stated,

The Clean Life team added that more addiction treatment services are needed in the area considering how much substance abuse has affected the area — opioids alone are linked to at least one death in Pinellas County, every 43 hours.

The alcohol and drug detox center offers programs that are different and look to address people's individual needs.

Since the inauguration of the facility, on May 1, more than 20 patients have already been welcomed.
