Follow on Google News | HB Surf School Releases Summer 2018 Camp ScheduleBy: HB Surf School With a sincere passion for surfing and a natural patient ability to teach, Bill Sharp, former professional surfer and longtime coach of the South African National Surf Team, brings more than 30 years of experience as the head of the HB Surf School. Sharp founded the HB Surf School ten years ago, in partnership with the City of Huntington Beach. "There's a lot of parallels with surfing and life," says Bill Sharp. "While the pros make surfing look easy, it isn't. It takes skill and practice, and just like in life, kids need to learn to problem solve and tackle their fears. Catching a wave and learning a maneuver or two is one of the greatest feelings of accomplishment in the world. I want the kids to feel the same stoke that I, and all of our instructors, have for the sport." Surf Camp Description - These one-week camps are designed to help beginners, advanced beginner and intermediate surfers take their skills to the next level. The program will help improve overall paddling and board riding ability, master a variety of basic and advanced maneuvers, understand tides and swell, and learn important ocean safety.
