Where There Are Two or More... The GroovaLottos @ Harvest Wine Gallery This Friday

CAPE COD, Mass. - June 27, 2018 - PRLog -- When you are funk and soul players, you are funk and soul players, a fact that permeates (or at least it should) your entire being as a performer. Even if you're just banging a stick on the ground, it should have soul. "We had a show in Wellfleet last summer where for the first 20 minutes Richard and I grooved out on drums and bass for about 20 minutes," explains GroovaLottos drummer, Eddie Ray Johnson, "Mwalim and ZYG were stuck in traffic coming from Providence. The audience was still up and dancing. When [Zyg and Mwalim] got her they jumped on stage and joined in. It was seamless. There have been gigs where it has been just Mwalim and I... or Just Zyg and I doing drums and percussion... or gigs where is was just ZYG and Mwalim. It's still phunky."

This coming Friday, The Phunk Hits 2018 brings us to the Harvest Wine Gallery in Dennis, MA where Eddie Ray and Mwalim will be holding down the set as a duo. "We first did this at Grumpy's Pub last summer," explained Mwalim, "the dance floor was still packed." In those gigs, Mwalim plays two keyboard with his left hand functioning as the bass.

June 29th at Harvest Wine Gallery 766 Main St (Rte 6a), Dennis, MA. Showtime is at 9PM.
