Donielle Artese was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Donielle was born into showbiz. Her father, Bobby Taylor, of the Motown group Bobby Taylor and The Vancouvers, discovered The Jackson 5, so music and dancing was always a part of her life. Donielle started dancing at the young age of three and continued until she became a professional as an adult. Donielle became one of the most recognizable, sought after dancers of her generation. Throughout her career as a professional dancer/choreographer, Donielle has worked with some musical legends- Cher, Madonna, Janet Jackson, The Isley Brothers, LL Cool J to name a few. And had a full circle moment when she worked on Michael Jackson's Dubbed the MTV Generation's Music Video Queen. She has done over 100 music videos, and performed on every major award show, including the Academy Awards. In 2011, Donielle ended her professional dance career with a bang by choreographing Prince's worldwide Coming To America tour. It's no surprise that one of Donielle's goals is to be a contestant on and win ABC's Dancing With The Stars! As an actress, Donielle continues to be blessed. She was one of the leads in a film with Kevin Sorbo, Let There Be Light, and has done numerous guest appearances on shows like: Rizzoli and Isles, Grey's Anatomy, Without A Trace, The Shield and more. Donielle was also a part of Garry Marshall's last film, Mother's Day, working w/Kate Hudson, Margo Martindale, Sarah Chalke, and Robert Pine. Donielle was the first major African American, recurring character, on AMC's Award Winning, Mad Men. She played, Sheila White, the love interest of Paul Kinsey, played by Michael Gladis. She has also worked alongside Adam Sandler in, You Don't Mess with the Zohan. You can also spot Donielle in various national commercials- What some don't know about Donielle is that when she was 18 years old, she was diagnosed with the life-threatening, incurable disease Lupus. Where many would have given up pursuing their dreams after such a devastating diagnosis, Donielle persevered. In 2013, her kidneys failed for the second time in her life, and she continues to soar through the face of adversity. She does 8 hours of dialysis every night…7 days a week. Her courage and faith are evident, especially when she packs her portable dialysis machine, and one 50 lb box of dialysis solution for each night she's away, for jobs that require her to travel, Her transition from patient to shining on the big screen is seamless, and she can always be seen with a smile.
