However, with today's available technology and savvy purchasing techniques can have quite the impact on service-based businesses. Take out the phone and ask Siri, or Google, or whomever - the "best", "closest", "most reliable" anything and you get an answer. Reviews, SEO (search engine optimization) Would it be safe to assume that if a business is at the top of the search, that it is "good"? Well, not necessarily, no... Just last year a younger Englishman "created" Trip Advisors top rated eatery. You see some businesses do the unthinkable, but a common step in getting on the "list of acceptance" ... They pay for it. With fake rave reviews and a few photos (one was literally of a toilet cleaning puck and a sponge, painted, of course); that over a few months had reached to the No. 1 spot. Ok, so Siri doesn't have the whole picture and the reviews Google is telling me about could be false. Now what? Well the answer is not simple, and it has multiple steps. Always remember "caveat emptor", or loosely translated "buyer beware". The best answer here is to ask friends or neighbors for any personal experiences. Word of mouth and referrals are THE BEST! If you have a trusted web site you go to, check there; but, also check another. Finally call or write them. The best way to gauge a business is to contact them and ask a few questions. Are they concerned for you, your needs? Do you feel like a valued prospect? It is a service company, but should you expect more? I think so.. It is the steps after the "sale" that matter too. The nurturing of a relationship that goes a long way. ----- At Crystal Clean Green Cleaning (CCGC), we are a service provider. To this moment, we have NEVER ever paid for SEO, nor would we ever even imagine paying for reviews. We took pride, and still take pride, in ourselves since day one, to clean and grow organically. Sure, we have a Facebook ad and pay Google to have a little ad here and there, but with a daily budget of .50$, you probably didn't see it. CCGC has been a Sarasota County Green Business Partner for nearly 5 years. Most of our operations keep that in mind, from routing our travels, to being a paperless office, and the materials we use (and how we order). Being a paperless office, sounds great, but it's is so not in the scope of "cleaning" that it is overlooked by our clients. Having secure software storing client, employee, and business data is key. We take security as a huge responsibility. Not just when visiting your home, but with your names, and addresses as well. Our Client Management Solutions contain an arsenal of automated programs that we love using, and some set us apart from many of our competitors: Payments are processed digitally, Invoices are e-mailed and never printed. Our client information, notes, and every piece of information pertaining to a job is stored on a cloud- based system. Our team members schedules are cloud based. Team leader's assignments are distributed to their mobile phone application. This application provides the details for the job, the scope of work, and details such as what equipment to bring, and even client preferences, and even has GPS and directions. When a team member is ready to travel to the next location, a text message is sent to the client stating that we are "en route". When a job is completed the homeowner is electronically notified with details and a custom message. We bank digitally. Receipts are digital of course. Our phone systems are VoIP (voice over internet protocol) and communications from the office are heavily based on e-mail, SMS, or web chat functions. --- Part of every great business is providing a value to the customer as well as valuing the customer. There is a cost to having a text message sent as a job reminder. There is a cost to keeping things secure. This however, is a cost that should be present – and a no-brainer – at a service provider level, that you do business with. It shows that they care about you, that they care about the environment, and that they are vested in their future. I have met some business owners that hand out a paper receipt or keep a manual list of clients on their desktop. It scares me! Obviously, having a digital customer data base, or a nice website, doesn't mean a business has the utmost credibility. It should however be introduced in the calculation when shopping for your next provider. In the case of Crystal Clean Green Cleaning – I normally tell our prospective client's that we are uncommonly tech savvy and tech based for a cleaning company. I am proud of saying that. It reminds me that we invest in our customers, not just our business. We owe it to our clients to provide the best service, best customer care, and establish the best customer relationship we possibly can. The tech we use allows just that and is just one of the ways we separate ourselves from the competition. https://www.crystalcleangreencleaning.com Contact Crystal Clean Green Cleaning www.crystalcleangreencleaning.com ***@crystalcleangreencleaning.com End
