'Sketches' Bring Fresh, Affordable Art to State Street Station

ST. LOUIS - July 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Ideas come at no certain time. When inspiration strikes, we reach for whatever is available before the moment passes. For artists, the most frequent result is a sketch. The most common process is to follow the sketch to its matured conclusion. 'Sketches: Year One' is meant to capture and present creative inspiration as it happens. The Whistle Stop Gallery will feature this glimpse into the creative process in August 2018. The works will be on a variety of materials, and available for $15. Also on display will be some of our Proprietor's sketches from his personal collection.

'Sketches: Year One' will have open hours on Sundays in August from 1:30 to 3:30pm and a special extra showing on the 29th from 3:30 to 5:30pm at the Whistle Stop Gallery – State Street Station (1938 State St., Granite City, Illinois).

The exhibit will be fluid and change as works are added and arranged in new patterns. You can participate too! Stop by during our open hours and visit the Sketch Desk for details.

'Sketches: Year One' is free to attend and open to the public.
