Santa Clarita, California- The Santa Clarita Storm and the San Fernando Valley Scorpions FC announced a merger. The two teams have come to an agreement to combine their efforts and bring the two teams together.  SFC Scorpions owner Lekan Gbadamosi and Gary Brunner owner of the Santa Clarita Storm have partnered up and will rebrand the team as the Cities team Futbol Club Santa Clarita (FCSC). www.futbolclubsantaclarita.com

The use of the club name FCSC was decided because it represents both the team the Futbol Club as well as the City, One City – One Team.

"We will continue to play for and represent one City said Lekan Gbadamosi, we have put the two teams together that combines over 16 years of experience in operation of a top-level Pro-Premier team.  We will assemble a very competitive Pro-Premier team and then will have a reserve squad as well. The reserve squad will train and play games but will continue to develop give us a nice avenue to supply the Pro-Premier team with the continuous supply of talented players. Gbadamosi went on to say we will continue to look for talented players with the desire to achieve their dream of performing at the highest level they can."

Futbol Club Santa Clarita will be preparing for the upcoming UPSL Fall season that begins September 15^th.

"Our Goal is to have several preseason games beginning in August said, Gary Brunner. Then by the end of August, the coaching staff will have a good idea of those players that will roster for the Pro Premier team and those that will fill the reserve squad. Brunner went on to say We fully intend to compete in the US Open Cup in September as well as the State Cup competition. The whole plan is to play as much competitive high-level games outside the League season that we can. This gives the guys more exposed and the more they play the better the play together, and that's when you have a team, and that all equals success" Said Brunner.
