Eric LeGrand's courage and perseverance set to inspire Advantage Career Institute Medical and Dental School's graduating class

EATONTOWN, N.J. - July 25, 2018 - PRLog -- New Jersey's Eric LeGrand will deliver Advantage Career Institute Medical & Dental School's (ACI M&D School) commencement speech for their graduation ceremony set for August 29, 2018 at the Pollak Theater at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Part of ACI M&D School's goal is to give students the skills to overcome adversity and challenges through strength and perseverance in order to have a fulfilling career, something Mr. LeGrand has inspired in thousands of people through his resilience and grit.

Mr. LeGrand is formerly an accomplished Rutgers football player who was severely injured during an October 2010 game at Met Life Stadium. Suffering from a grave spinal cord injury, Mr. LeGrand underwent nine hours of surgery to stabilize his spinal cord, though doctors were grim about his chances for a full recovery. Through his courage and belief, he was able to regain his neurologic function and movement in his shoulders. These events led him to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, leaders in spinal cord injury research whose mission is to achieve better rehabilitation, treatment, and quality of life for patients like Mr. LeGrand and Mr. Reeve. In 2013, Mr. LeGrand formed his own charity, Team LeGrand, in a partnership with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Team LeGrand of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for research opportunities to find a cure for paralysis. Until a cure is found, Team LeGrand is also aiding in efforts to improve the quality of life and mobility of those suffering from spinal cord injuries like Mr. LeGrand's.  As a renowned national motivational speaker, ACI M&D School is pleased to have Mr. LeGrand address the graduates at their commencement next month.
