A collaborative engineering project aims to detect dust in industrial spaces

Ennomotive, the leading open innovation platform for engineering challenges just launched a competition to develop a device that accurately detects dust concentration in industrial environments

MADRID - July 27, 2018 - PRLog -- It is not uncommon to find a high concentration of dust in places like factories or open and closed mining sites which creates uncomfortable working conditions and hinders industrial operations.

Companies are trying to improve the working environment and sustainability in their facilities by reducing the amount of dust. For that purpose accurate dust detectors are required to measure and implement initiatives that improve the working conditions.

There are devices already being used in cities to measure the quality of the air¨ but they are not suitable for industrial purposes since they need daily maintenance, do not always resist the environmental conditions, and their set-up is not flexible enough.

This online competition is open worldwide to any professional, student or academia with a technical background in electronics, IoT, sensorization, etc. that wants to propose a design or solution for this challenge. Applicants just need to signup for free, complete their profile and join the contest here: https://www.ennomotive.com/innovation-challenge-dust-dete...

Ennomotive (https://www.ennomotive.com) offers 12,000 euros in prizes and visibility online for the participants that best meet the requirements for this competition.
