New Podcast And Sh*t! Serves Laughter As The Best Medicine

Hosts, award-winning filmmakers and personalities Quincy LeNear Gossfield and Monice Mitchell-Simms want to provide a moment of levity and humor for their listeners who are inundated with daily bad news. And Sh*t! takes a humorous approach to dealing with real-life issues in the 21st Century.

"As Gen X and early Millennials we often find ourselves caught in the middle of the onslaught of dying traditional expectations and rapid cultural shifts," says, Gossfield. "The vitriol and false narratives of social media alone can be the needle that breaks the camel's back for some of us."

"This is our own way of maintaining our own mental health," says Mitchell-Simms.

"We're all depressed… We just need some water breaks. That's it. I think that's what we want to provide. Just a water break," quips Gossfield in episode "White Girl Wasted and Colored Pancakes."

The most recent episode, "The Whole Ass, Dirty Diana, and the Financial Aid Beneath My Wings," talks about everything from men over 40 who wear sagging jeans, elderly singers becoming sexual on stage, Motown conspiracy theories, to going back to school as adults for secondary careers.

Gossfield and Mitchell-Sims are not professional comedians, but both are passionate storytellers, witty, silly, and at times, downright rambunctious. AndSh*t makes the listener feel as though they are on a phone call with their best friends too.
